

Questions and Answers
You must have at least a bachelor's degree to teach with Kreyco. This degree may be from the United States or another country. If you are applying to work as a paraprofessional/RBT, the education requirement will depend greatly on your state.
You must be located in the US and authorized to work in the US for in-person teaching opportunities. We cannot assist you in obtaining or extending your visa. If you have a current work visa and/or permit, you are welcome to apply!
You must submit your unofficial transcripts before being offered a teaching position. If you received a degree from outside the US, we need a copy of your course-by-course evaluation that includes all your courses, along with their corresponding grades. If you do not have one, we will need your official transcripts (English translation not necessary). Please send this required documentation to transcripts@kreyco.com
Background check requirements will vary depending on the state where you teach. You are responsible for any costs associated with the state-required process.
You will be required to obtain certification if the school where you would like to teach requires certification. Typically, certification is required for public schools and charter schools. Kreyco will facilitate the process for you. You can start teaching on a substitute certification (for a defined time) in most states. (You will be responsible for costs associated with certification) *Depending on the state where you teach, you will need at least a 2.5 GPA. Some states, however, require a minimum GPA of 3.0. This requirement can be waived in certain states.
Depending on the state where you teach, you may need to pass specific tests for your certification. Our team will outline the test(s) that you will need before you sign your contract with Kreyco. We will provide you with study materials and practice tests to help you prepare for any tests you must take for your certification.
You will be able to choose the teaching schedule that works best for you. Please note that we are unable to modify the teaching schedules. It is entirely up to you whether or not you would like to accept or reject the teaching schedules presented to you.
The Network Agreement allows you to accept or decline teaching positions. It does not guarantee you a teaching position. It also ensures that our partner schools and students are protected.
You will work as a 1099 independent contractor. You will be responsible for your taxes and will not have benefits. Our teaching positions are not W-3 positions.
You will receive all the curriculum, materials, and resources necessary for your classes. You will not need to create lessons or buy any materials. If you ever need more than what is made available, you only have to request such materials from our curriculum development team.
Our teacher and partner success team will provide you with the highest level of support. This includes coaching, mentorship, weekly check-ins, in-person visits, modeled lessons, and in-class support. You will also receive advocacy if you ever need support when working with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and other building staff. Kreyco will do everything possible to ensure your representation and protection.
You will have access to live and self-paced professional development, which you can complete for free and at your own pace. Kreyco teachers and paras/RBTs are required to complete professional development during their time with us.
